Privacy

Your information, handled with care.

What I collect, why, who else handles it, and how to ask me to change or delete it. In plain language.

Last updated 6 November 2026

The short version

  • I collect only what you choose to send me, mainly through the booking form or by email.
  • I use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to coach you. Nothing else without asking.
  • This site has no analytics, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies.
  • I never sell or rent your information, and I won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you at any time: hello@zamirj.com.

Who I am

This site belongs to Zamir Janmohamed Coaching, a one-person coaching practice based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I'm Zamir Janmohamed, and I'm the person responsible for your information. If you have a question about this policy or your information, email me at hello@zamirj.com.

What I collect

When you use the booking form: your name, your email address, what you write about where you are, which option you're considering, and the page you came from. The form doesn't ask for anything else, and you don't need an account.

When you contact me another way, by email or a message on LinkedIn or Instagram: what you choose to send.

When you visit the site: like almost every website, the server that hosts it automatically records basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. These records are used only to keep the site secure and working.

If we work together: what you share in our calls and sessions. That's confidential, and how I look after it is set out in the coaching agreement we sign before we start.

What this site doesn't do

There's no analytics software, no advertising pixels and no social media tracking on this site, and it doesn't set tracking cookies. If you switch between the light and dark design, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. It's never sent to me.

Why I use your information

To reply to you and arrange a call. To coach you, if you become a client, and to handle the admin that comes with it, such as scheduling and invoices. To keep the site secure, and to meet my legal and tax obligations. I won't use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.

By sending the form or writing to me, you agree to me using your information for these purposes. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by emailing me, and I'll stop.

Who else handles it

I don't sell, rent or trade your information. A few service providers handle it on my behalf, only to provide their service to me:

  • DreamHost hosts this website. It processes the booking form, keeps the server's technical records, and stores a backup copy of form submissions in a private folder on the server that the public can't reach.
  • Google Workspace provides my email, so your enquiry and our emails are stored there.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which means Google receives your IP address. Google states that it doesn't use this to build profiles of visitors.
  • A payment provider, if you become a client and pay an invoice. I'll tell you which one before you pay, and it will handle your payment details under its own privacy policy. I don't see or store your card details.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Where it's stored

My providers store information in the United States and other countries, so it may be subject to the laws of those countries, including access by their courts or authorities.

How long I keep it

If you get in touch and we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry within two years of our last contact. If you become a client, I keep your records for as long as we work together and then for as long as Canadian tax and legal rules require, which for business records is generally six years. The server's technical records are kept for a short period set by my host. You can ask me to delete your information sooner, and I will, unless the law requires me to keep it.

How I protect it

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) on every page. Form backups sit in a server folder that's blocked from public access, and only I can access my accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a breach ever created a real risk of significant harm to you, I'd tell you and report it to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to:

  • tell you what information I hold about you, and send you a copy
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete your information
  • stop using your information

Email hello@zamirj.com. It's free, and I'll respond within 30 days. I may ask you to confirm your identity first, so I only ever share your information with you.

If you're in the UK or the European Union

I rely on your consent when you send the form or write to me, on taking steps you've asked for before we agree to work together, on my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure, and on legal obligations such as keeping tax records. You also have the right to restrict or object to how I use your information and to receive it in a portable format. Where my providers offer them, transfers outside the UK and EU are covered by recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or the data protection authority where you live.

Email from me

I'll only email you to reply to you and about work we've agreed to do together. I don't send newsletters or marketing emails unless you've clearly asked to receive them, and every one would include a way to unsubscribe. If you subscribe to my writing on Substack, Substack's own privacy policy applies to that subscription.

Other sites

This site links to other sites, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Substack and Wondrinn. They have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn't cover them.

Children

My coaching is for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.

Concerns or complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first at hello@zamirj.com and I'll do my best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
